IMAGINE BEING ABLE
TO MEMORIZE BIBLE VERSES
QUICKLY & EASILY

YOU CAN!...WITH THIS SIMPLE TECHNIQUE

Aloha, my name is Gary Lau. For 40 years I've been teaching Christ-followers the Bible in small groups, weekend services, university classes, seminars, and conferences.

BUT THE ONE AREA WHERE I STRUGGLED WAS LEARNING HOW TO MEMORIZE VERSES
FROM THE BIBLE

...UNTIL NOW

HOW CAN YOU MEMORIZE SCRIPTURE QUICKLY & EASILY?
By using a simple technique...

The Old Way

1. Write the verse on an index card.

2. Try to memorize the verse word for word, over and over again.

Index Card - John 3 16 - Old

The Better Way

1. Write the verse using only the first initial of each word.

2. Fill in the blanks little by little.

Index Card - John 3 16 - Better

What Makes These Cards Different
From Other Bible Memory Cards?

One Word...Context

One of the most important lessons I learned while in seminary was the importance of context - to understand the situation of a particular verse in the Bible.

Take for example Habakkuk 1:5. You might read it and think this would make a great memory card.

Index Card - Habakkuk 1 5 - Old

On the surface this verse looks great and you might even claim it as a promise from the Lord.

And it is a promise from the Lord but not the kind of promise you think it is.

The context is that God was speaking (through the prophet Habakkuk) to the people of Judah who had consistently disobeyed the Lord. Thus, the Lord was going to bring judgment on the land and its people through the hand of the mighty and evil Babylonians. How do we know this? Look at the next verse: Habakkuk 1:6, "I am raising up the Babylonians, that ruthless and impetuous people, who sweep across the whole earth to seize dwellings not their own." Habakkuk could not believe God would use the Babylonians to destroy Judah, which is what God did in 586 BC.

Essentially Habakkuk 1:5 is not a verse about celebration but about destruction.

Here's the lesson: just because a verse sounds good doesn't mean it is. Context is important. We cannot make a verse say what the author never intended it to say otherwise we are taking the verse out of context.

That is why I've studied the context of each of the memory verses to make sure it means what the author intended it to mean. And I never include a verse that has been taken out of context.

And each pack of memory cards includes a one-page context sheet to help you understand the Bible verse in its correct context.

I want to make sure you understand the verses you are memorizing.

FAQs

The cards are printed on 6 inches by 4 inches index cards then laminated. Holes are punched on both the upper left and right sides so you can insert the included binder ring on either side.

I use the New International Version (NIV) of the Bible for the memory cards.

HarperCollins Christian Publishing, who owns the rights to the New International Version of the Bible, has granted me permission to print the verses.

Right now, I’m a one-man operation. I do the printing, laminating, and shipping. I try to get your order out within two working days but it may take up to two weeks to get to you.

Due to copyright restrictions I am only able to ship in the United States.

Send me an email prior to placing your order.
